As first time owners of a T5 in need of a conversion from a basic panel van, and absolute novices in the VW world, we looked around several conversion companies in the south west before plumping for Sam and Ami. We found Moore’s Custom Campers on the internet whilst looking for the internals of our VW T5 conversion. They offered kitchen units in all sorts of colours for a reasonable price. Contact followed and they agreed to give us a flatpack of all the units and supply us with all the other stuff we needed, like cooker, fridge, electrics, etc. We live in Holland and only had a week in which to pick it up and build it. We asked lots of questions beforehand and whether by phone or email, they answered very quickly and tried to accommodate all our wishes. Even difficult ones! When picking up our order, we found the owners, a lovely young couple, to be very friendly and very helpful. Fitting it all together with the drawing they made and the instructions/ tips they gave, made it easier. A missing part was immediately made and posted to us. We now have a very nice looking camper van. You cannot see the difference between a factory fitted interior and the materials supplied by Moore’s Custom Campers. When having it tested in Holland, the official inspector, who sees lots of these vans, asked for details of the suppliers, as he was interested himself. So thanks again you two. We have a brilliant looking van now. We would recommend using your company to anyone. You’re great!

Having bought out 2008 T5 in May, we then cast around for a suitable company to carry out a full conversion to a campervan. It’s a confusing market with lots of companies advertising their services via magazines, eBay and on the various Facebook forums. Moore’s Campers popped up on one of the FB forums advertising a spare full campervan conversion slot for the month of August and as we were down their way in June, we popped in unannounced to check them out. Sam and Ami were at once very welcoming, happy to show what they did and how they did it and spent time with us on a very busy day where they even had a visit from a couple of interested police offices from the local constabulary! We booked our van in there and then for a full campervan conversion in August and from that time on we kept in full contact with Ami and Sam on our requirements which were met to the letter. Ami and Sam were accommodating in all our needs and nothing was too much trouble – the van has fully met all of our needs and we look forward to getting out and about in it over the coming months and years!

The highlight so far for us with the blue van has been a week spent around Wales during which we attended the magical Festival Number 6 at Port Merion. Having spent several years using a 1974 late bay VW, the trip this time was a joy in comparison with no need to worry about breaking down in the middle of nowhere! At the festival many people stopped and admired the van, with the eye catching wheels attracting particular attention. During the week away we really appreciated the concise storage space, comfy bed and best of all the solar powered fridge that ensured chilled beer at all times. We hope to have many years exploring Britain and maybe Europe in the comfort of this cracking Transporter.

Moore’s Custom Campers were very helpful from the start. My wife & I had concerns about finding a company that would take on the bespoke relining of a 1975 Commer PB series van. We knew that it would be an individual job and that it might only come at a premium. We found Moore’s, a company then unknown to us, online, liked the look of their work and put in our enquiry.
